9/12/09 March on Washington

I'm sure you have all heard about the March on Washington that happened on Saturday. I had the privilege to be able to go to this event and witness what will go down as the greatest Conservative protest to ever happen in D.C.
It was so inspiring to see all the people turn out for this event. It wasn't organized by Fox News or "far right wing radicals" it wasn't really organized by anyone. It was simply hundreds of thousands of people, working class Americans, who are tired of how this government is operating. People just like you and me who look at the direction that the country is going and it scares them.
Another myth about this protest was that it was an angry mob of gun toating right wing radicals. This was no where near a mob. It was a peaceful protest of big government, taxes and spend policies, and nationalized health care. There was no violence of any kind. In fact the only incidents (I talked to Capital Police there and confirmed) was some guy selling "Don't Tread on Me" flags on Capital Grounds, and some ACORN member walking through the lawn with a sign that said "Single Payer Now." He was instantly surrounded by people shouting "no single payer" etc.... but he was never harmed. In a few minutes the Police came and escorted him out. Other then that it was an amazingly peaceful event.
I took many pictures of the event that I'm working on uploading right now. Also I'm working on a post about the estimation of the attendance at the event. Undoubtedly the media is lying about the attendance to the march and the rally. Make sure you come back and check it out.
