Texas "Christian" University Creates Homosexual Housing.

Ben Graham — Wed, 2009-04-08 14:29

This is really hard to believe. Apparently the board of directors of the Texas Christian University have decided that they are planning on allocating designated homosexual housing.

Via WND:

The church-affiliated Texas Christian University has announced plans to allocate apartment housing on its Fort Worth campus for homosexual students and their supporters.

According to a report in the city's Star-Telegram newspaper, the school plans to open a section of the Tom Brown-Pete Wright apartments for "lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender students
and allies."

How can a supposedly "Christian" education portal be so openly supporting Homosexuals? The Bible clearly takes a very hard stance on Homosexuality. If you read the story of Sodom and Gomorrah you can see that they were destroyed because of their homosexual tendency's.

Now don't get me wrong. I do not hate homosexuals, but I also do not believe that their lifestyle is right. I am not one of those Christians that believes that we should shun gays, but that homosexuality is nothing more then another sin and is no more evil in the sight of God then is telling a little white lie.

That being said, I do not believe that we should embrace and promote the homosexual lifestyle as TCU is doing. Any organization that claims to follow the bible and is accepting of homosexuality is blatantly disobeying God's commandments. This is not to say that we should avoid gays and lesbians. My own college Cedarville Unv. allows recovering homosexuals to attend. But to facilitate and condone homosexuality is wrong.

Recognizing my Unworthiness

Justin Higgins — Sun, 2008-09-14 08:59

ROTR- The Cross

I haven't talked about it much, but I've been struggling with faith for years now. I left the church I was attending several years ago, finding myself wondering why people that praise God with such fervor don't seem to live it, including myself. I prayed seldomly, weeks apart maybe, though I still found myself singing worship music. Sinning all the while, I lectured others on their walk with Him, and my own slipped away. That has changed.

This summer, a good friend of mine introduced me to an amazing church filled with people to learn from, people anointed to affect my life. I've learned about how absolutely unworthy I am of the love of God, my Saviour, my King, my Lord. This church is different though. Most Christians could fill in the blanks in this Bible verse: "For all have sinned and...". We know we fall short of the glory of God. What's sad is I knew that verse, but never emphasized the next part:

23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

How powerful is that? How powerful is it that I am unworthy but the blood of Jesus not only redeems me, but justifies me. My sin is not only washed away but I am innocent in the eyes of my Lord. Still, I found myself wrapped in my guilt, even as I worshipped. It goes against my earthly values to accept something I haven't earned, freedom that I have abused. Then, last night, at an amazing worship service, it hit me. We worship because we're unworthy. We worship Him because his love is undeserved but needed. God bless my readers, I hope you find hope in Him if you have none.

Shout to the Lord

Justin Higgins — Fri, 2008-04-11 17:00

As Michelle Malkin has chronicled, American Idol chose for the contestants to sing a popular worship anthem, though not without controversy. I'll let her cover that part, but here's the "uncensored" version:

When Fascism Comes...

Justin Higgins — Tue, 2007-12-18 20:12

Ron Paul is getting absolutely ridiculous. Just ask for his statement on Mike Huckabee's Christmas message, and he'll start spouting leftist rhetoric about the stepping stones to fascism. Ignore the fact that both Hitler and Moussolini were both socialists before their transition to totalitarianism...
