Shout to the Lord

As Michelle Malkin has chronicled, American Idol chose for the contestants to sing a popular worship anthem, though not without controversy. I'll let her cover that part, but here's the "uncensored" version:
Fighting for Christmas

The picture shown above is from the front page of Vindy.com today, and the story chronicles some women who decided to fight for Christmas. Their battle is a bit pricey, but it's making headlines and it's going to be hard to ignore for some drivers in my area. The story:
They paid to put these messages on area billboards:
"I miss hearing you say Merry Christmas. — Jesus," says a board on U.S. Route 224 in Canfield.
"Why have you stopped saying Merry Christmas? — Jesus," asks a board on U.S. 422 in Niles.
"It's Christmas," said Brown, a member of St. Christine Church in Youngstown. "It's been Christmas in the dictionary. It's Christmas on the calendar. It's Christmas. Just say it."
The "War on Christmas" has been a controversial issue for years now, and Conservatives who attest to the cultural battle are constantly ridiculed. Even populists such as Bill O'Reilly got scorn from late-night hosts like David Letterman for talking openly about the controversy steeped in anti-Christian bias. Some people are fighting back.
