There is a long list of reasons not to pick Mike Huckabee for Vice President, and the fact that he's a gaffe machine is up there. Hot Air is covering the fact that Huck made a joke about Obama having a gun aimed at him. That sure doesn't jive with Maverick's plan for this campaign. Click the image below for the video:

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have ourselves a nominee and his name is not Mike Huckabee. If I could give some advice to Huck, do your party a service and unseat Pryor down in Arkansas as Senator. Via Hot Air, here's the long-awaited speech:

Some pundits say it's forestalling the launch of a national campaign, while others say it's keeping the Republican race in the media spotlight. Either way, there's humor to be found in Huckabee's insistence to stay in the race.

Mike Huckabee served a very important role in this campaign, aside from playing spoiler to Mitt Romney. Mike Huckabee created excitement and energy amongst the younger generations about the Republican side too. Between Chuck Norris, the late-night talk show feud about who created him, and all the Colbert appearances, people paid attention to the GOP. Like him or not (and for most of us it's not), this video is entertaining:

We need to have outspoken, energetic, charismatic ambassadors to the Conservative movement. Mike Huckabee's faults on foreign policy and taxes remove him from the field for President, but that doesn't mean he doesn't serve a role in our party. He gave his contribution to the race.

Hot Air has video posted of an incredible lengthy joke on Conan O'Brien's show (it includes a fight matrix) which was the culmination of a staged fight about who created Mike Huckabee. Mike says it was America, I say it was duped Conservatives looking for a strong Christian leader. Here's the kinda funny video:
