Hillary's History Lesson

Hillary Clinton isn't too good with time, I guess. The new story catching attention on Hot Air relates to something she said in the debate. Take a look at this video and see if you catch a problem:
The Apollo Program got her imagining the prospects of the future! Around that time, her fifth grade teacher inspired her to study math and science! That's great! There's only one problem that scenario, as Captain Ed points out:
Hillary Clinton was born in 1947. Assuming she started the first grade as a six-year-old as most kids do, she would have been in the fifth grade in 1957-1958. The Mercury program didn't start until 1961, and Apollo started in 1966. John Kennedy didn't even make his speech about going to the moon until she was a teenager, not a "little girl".
Hillary Clinton would've been 19 years old when the program began, and would've been 21 when the program reached fruition. I'm pretty sure Hillary wasn't in fifth grade in 1957. I'm not exactly sure how good of a student she was though...

Dumbing Down
socketplug — Thu, 2007-12-13 21:09This is mostly on topic. That is, dealing with basically silly fluff (do you prefer ice-cream on the top or do you prefer whipped cream?) and the horse race (who's leading in the polls, who's not) instead of discussing actual policy details. A fun watch with a catchy beat and an important message!

me.at.bra.in (not verified) — Thu, 2007-12-13 19:52Have you ever made a mistake of fact, Justin?
Hmmmm?
Are you serious?
looneyontheleft — Thu, 2007-12-13 18:27Are you? Its obvious she's just reaching for something to say, note the hesitation right before she says 'fifth grade teacher'. I ain't defending Dame Hillary, but good lord there's tons more substantial stretches of the truth you can highlight, particularly when she speaks of her past and her political life thought her life.
This is just kind of embarrassing for you, Hot Air, Fox News et all. Giving this any note is as pathetic as Hillary's camp is when they talk about Obama's kindergarten paper or his drug use...
