Ellison Withdraws from Nazi Talk

Keith Ellison, who compared Bush to Hitler, is now ready to step back and say sorry. Apparently, the public backlash was a little too much for the Democrat to handle. Via Yahoo:
WASHINGTON - The nation's first Muslim congressman said Tuesday that he erred in comparing the Bush administration's response to Sept. 11 to an event that led to Adolf Hitler's consolidation of power in Nazi Germany.
At an appearance before a group of atheists in Minnesota on July 8, Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., called Sept. 11 "the juggernaut" that led to war, tolerating torture and increased discrimination against religious minorities.
Even Keith Ellison realizes that Keith Ellison was wrong. He continues to run from his previous remarks, but tries not to take the blame for the weight of his insults:
"In hindsight, I wouldn't have used that reference point," Ellison told The Associated Press in a telephone interview Tuesday. "It was probably inappropriate to use that example, because it's a unique historical event, without really any clear parallels."
Ellison said he remains harshly critical of the Bush administration.
"I believe that they have exploited the fears that grew from 9/11, in order to pass legislation and even start wars they could have never gotten away with but for that tragedy," he said.
What's this say to me? "I want to compare 9/11 to the Reichstag Fire by describing that event, but I'm not actually saying Reichstag Fire this time." That's how I read it at least.
Not so sure
I'm not really sure that Cao is aware of her lying, Kevin. It's entirely possible that she is so delusional that she believes the fantasies she spins. She's created at least one documented straw man argument out of whole cloth, and she certainly seemed to believe that.
The funniest thing about this whole exchange is Cao's apparent belief that posting her own sexual fantasies about me are somehow valid arguments for her views.
Cao knows she's lying
She's not angry that you'll called her on her lies and ignorance; these, as she knows, constitute her entire online identity. She's just mad that you don't get rattled by her childish insults. When you ask someone to respond coherently to a question and all she can do is yell "LIBTARD! DEMOTWAT! MEAT FOR BRAINS! YOU BEAT OFF NOW! HA AHHAAH BWAHAHAHAH!!!", there's only so long that person can persist before the well runs dry and overt frustration sets in.
Cao's type -- loud, proud, and part of the angry intellectual underclass -- can only exist on the Internet, as I've explained here. Her ignorance of biology is so thorough that it hurts too much to even think about fisking her crap.
