ACORN Broke No Laws in Prostitution Videos? What!?

Ben Graham — Thu, 2009-12-10 14:35

Ok, is it just me or is it illegal to advise someone to commit a crime? Apparrently not for ACORN:

Via CNN:

Community organizing group ACORN needs wide-ranging reforms after an embezzlement scandal, but broke no laws when conservative activists posing as a prostitute and a pimp approached members in a videotaped "sting," an attorney's report concludes.

The videos led to the dismissal of four ACORN employees who appeared to offer advice to the couple and to federal legislation barring the group from receiving federal funds. But a review by former Massachusetts Attorney General Scott Harshbarger, who was hired by ACORN to examine the issue, found "no evidence that any action, illegal or otherwise, was taken by ACORN employees on behalf of the videographers."

I can't even believe this! Are liberals such as this Harshbarger so committed to preserving this corrupt organization that they will dismiss it as "inappropriate?"

...While some of the advice and counsel given by ACORN employees and volunteers was clearly inappropriate and unprofessional, we did not find a pattern of intentional, illegal conduct by ACORN staff," Harshbarger's report concludes. "In fact, there is no evidence that action, illegal or otherwise, was taken by any ACORN employee on behalf of the videographers."

"Inappropriate and unprofessional?" No it was not only "Inappropriate and unprofessional" it was illegal! For a organization to advise people to break the law, an organization that works in the most crime ridden places in the U.S. no less, is clearly breaking the law! If I was a consultant for a major corporation and I told them to hide cash from the government and advised how to bring in illegal workers, and this was all on video. I would have the cops at my door the very next day! This is the same thing that happened in the ACORN videos. In fact it is clear that a organization supposedly committed to helping the poor and the "unprivileged" in our society is in fact encouraging the behavior that keeps them there in the first place!

It is time for every decent and upright person in our country who care about the poor and "underprivileged" in our country to stand up and denounce ACORN for what it is. A corrupt organization not concerned about the well being of the people it is trying to help, but only concerned about appeasing the bleeding heart liberals, and not about really helping the people they are supposed to help.

Laws and Rules

Johnkitty — Mon, 2010-06-28 05:36

If the laws and rules are not strict, citizens can break those things easily. Especially for Prostitution; this problem is very popular over the world, and need to be considered seriously.

In the eye of Law , no body

Mahesh — Mon, 2010-06-28 01:20

In the eye of Law , no body can be declared guilty without any proof or evidence. Due to lack of evidence , many criminals makes an easy escape from there bad deeds. There are lots of organization which are running and are not abide by the laws , still they are free to run due to lack of proper law and order.

gurumlm — Sat, 2010-06-05 01:45

I didn't seee this video , buyt I wonder if it was a serious video or simply a joke, sometimes jokes goes too far and people get offended by an internal and non-serious video...

Some time before, I was writing the analysis term papers by my own and sometimes I got not the best marks. Thus I determined to try to order custom research papers from essays online service, then I understood that it was the most wise decision of all my life.
